At Healthful Psychotherapy & Counselling Services, Gabriella is committed and dedicated to supporting and empowering her clients, as well as continuously learning and employing a diverse range of evidence-based practices, such as person-centered therapy, CBT, ACT, DBT, mindfulness-based, and trauma-informed care.
Gabriella believes in establishing a strong therapeutic connection based on trust, respect, and understanding. Healthful Psychotherapy’s primary focus is on identifying clients’ abilities and collaborating with them to develop techniques that address particular challenges while also creating a fulfilling, balanced, and productive life. Gabriella hopes to provide a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and goals without judgment or pressure.
Gabriella has been providing psychotherapy and counselling services to adolescents, adults, and elderly struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, trauma, etc. Furthermore, she has worked within mental health services for over five years in a multitude of settings, including private practice, the rehabilitation field, and non-profit organizations. Furthermore, Gabriella also has experience working with children and families dealing with the diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADD/ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder, other behavioural disorders and developmental disabilities.
Gabriella is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, and has completed a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. She also received a Master of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science at Southeastern University (Fla.). Gabriella also received a Bachelor of Honours at Hastings College (Neb.) in Psychology and Exercise Science. Currently, she is completing her hours to become fully qualified under the direct supervision of a registered psychotherapist and psychological associate.
